CASE STUDY: TATA MOTORS
Tata Motors is India’s largest automobile company, with revenues of Rs 24,000 crore (USD 5.5 billion) in 2005-06. While a dominant player domestically with a 59-per cent market share, Tata Motors is also the world’s fifth-largest medium and heavy commercial vehicle manufacturer and India’s only fully integrated and indigenised automobile manufacturer.
Tata Motors with its wide range of vehicles ranging from cars, utility vehicles, pickup trucks to light commercial vehicles, intermediate commercial vehicles, medium and heavy commercial vehicles as well as excavators, dump trucks, tippers, buses and other special vehicles such as urban transport and army transport vehicles, was looking for a highly professional organization to help with its finished vehicle logistics needs. With a proven track record and a successful working history, SRP Group took up this challenge and today it is responsible for the movement of over 100,000 commercial vehicles and plant and construction equipment annually.
This finished vehicle logistics division of SRP Group maintains a nationwide presence with operational centres that span over 70 Acres in Gujarat (west), Tamil Nadu (south) and West Bengal (east) and regional offices in Mumbai, Pune, Jamshedpur, Lucknow, Delhi and Chennai.
Our services include all aspects of operations from the time the vehicle is manufactured, up until the time it is handed over to the dealer. In addition to the above, our operational centers are also all equipped to provide services for inspection, minor repairs, paint touchups and support for damaged in-transit vehicles.
Having proven its success with managing commercial vehicles, complex special purpose vehicles and more recently passenger cars,
